HOLLOW

Hollow

Core
It feels like a hollow space
Within a boat
Where bodies can lie
And water can fill it to drown
Long and hollow;
As if it starts from the mouth
Down to the toes
Living on the outside;
Afloat amongst all the waters of people
But so hollow
So hollow
So hollow

It feels as hollow as the willow tree branch
That fell off in mourn
Landed on the earth
On dirt and faded blooms
To see its source rooted genuinely
Underground
And yet it lies there
Hollow and unsound
Safe it feels no more
Dead it suffers now
And so hollow
So hollow
So hollow

to be continued...
